Quarter 1 of 2018 ends here | Let’s see how we did

It’s time for the quarterly reviews and usually I would want to bury my head in the sand right about now. But this time, I don’t have to face a boss in his boring little office but myself. (Now that I wrote it down I am not so sure what’s worse. :/ ). Okay let’s just get to it before I change my mind. So earlier this year I decided I was up for some challenge in my life and carved out 10 things I want to achieve in 2018. Now doing that and sharing it online itself took me a lot of should-I-do-it-should-I-not sleepless nights. But in the end I decided to go for it. A lot has happened since then and I lose track of my goals on most days but at least I have goals to pursue for a change. So I decided I am going to push myself even harder and hold myself accountable by doing a quarterly review. Let’s start with the ones I have managed to start working on so far.

  1. Get fit – For some or other reason my fitness plan didn’t take off until February. But then one day it did and I have been working out 3-4 times per week since then and I can already tell the difference. Okay honestly??? Some weeks the number is much lower…..but the change is real. I began with some basic yoga and moved on to HIIT routines by the famous Fitness Blender.  I feel more energetic than ever. I still have lots of research and trial-and-error to do to get to a regime that suits my needs and a diet that compliments my goal. But until then, I am happy I am even getting off my bed!

  1. Become a morning person – Can waking up 1 hour earlier than usual be counted as progress?? 😛 So okay no, I am getting up 2 hours earlier than before! And I think that’s pretty darn good! Someday I will make it to the 5 am club! Someday.

  1. Be more organized – On the professional front the bullet journal habit is really turning things around and helping me reach goals on time, at least most of the time. I am still learning the ropes of the new path I have chosen as a career and honestly, planning is what’s keeping me sane ! On a personal note did I mention we moved to a new house recently? The timing couldn’t have been better! I de-cluttered my stationary collection, wardrobe, donated stuff…so yeah basically I just sorted my life out! For now. Let’s hope the tidy new house stays as it is for as long as possible. 😛

  1. Stop procrastinating – This has been such a hard one as there’s no particular method to it! You just got to be stronger in your head! Since I absolutely have to KILL it in 2018 I am pushing myself harder, be it working out or meeting my self imposed deadlines. And yeah, I do fail…on a lot of days but I am glad about the ones when I don’t.

So that’s about it – 4 in progress, 6 more to go! Sounds, easy? How are you guys doing with your resolutions? Am I the only one who’s struggling with this?

  1. Hahahaha Love this!💕 I can honestly say I have been really productive in Q1. I am excited to see what transpires by the end of Q2. Wonder if God thinks I am ready for a bigger step in y life? lol

  2. Congrats on all the progress you’ve made!! Waking up an hour or two earlier definitely counts! I wake up at the same time every single day and I can’t stand it—I usually end up accidentally getting back in bed and falling asleep again. (Not good because I have to catch the train.) Good luck with the rest of your goals!
